Description: Cesarina is the charming and vile wife of Claudio Ruper. Cesarina’s indifferent reaction to the death of her illegitimate child, reveals Claudio her real unfeeling heart and convinces him to cut off all contact with his wife. From that moment on he decides to dedicate his whole life to his work: the construction of a new powerful weapon and to put it at the service of his country. The rumor of this new invention attracts the attention of a potent secret society that instructs a spy, Moncabrè, to seduce Cesarina in order to get the documents of her husband. In a whirlwind of passion and death, events rush towards a tragic end. The restoration of "La moglie di Claudio" was conducted by the Museo Nazionale del Cinema and by the Fondazione Cineteca of Bologna, from a tinted and toned nitrate positive copy with French intertitles belonging to the collections of Lobster Films (Paris). The video is a copy from the restored film print: 35mm, polyester, positive, colour (Desmetcolor), 1437 m, 70 'to 18 fps, Italian intertitles, silent. The restoration was carried out at the laboratory L’Immagine Ritrovata in Bologna in 2011.
